ON THE MOVE

THE DAY IS HERE!  Due to the road expansion project that will go through the portion of land on which our former building presently sits, we had to move.  While this news originally came as a challenge for us to overcome, it now looks like a real blessing since we were rapidly outgrowing our facilities. People were showing up early just so they would have a place to park - the neighbors were asking what's going on. One thing we know for sure - God is at work here!   We just can't wait to see what HE will do next!   We have concluded our negotiations with the State.  Once we signed the closing documents, our original date to vacate the property was November 29th.  The state graciously extended that to Jan 6th which allowed us to use our former facilities to conduct our annual Christmas and Thanksgiving ministries.  Important Update: Our last service at Hwy 138 & Flat Rock Rd was Sunday, December 30, 2007.

WHAT IS OUR BUILDING PLAN?   During the past few years we have been looking for property.  We have located potential property (about 1-1/2 miles from our current building) where there is an existing structure that can be modified for temporary worship facilities and are working on the zoning requirements so that we can build there in the future.  In the interim, Bro. Duncan has volunteered the use of his home for our services.  Important Update:  Effective Sunday, January 6, 2008, we began meeting at 110 Lambert Street, Stockbridge Georgia  30281.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?   We learned about five years ago that we would lose our property to the road widening project at Flat Rock Rd and Hwy 138.  Since that time several of you have been systematically giving to the building fund.  In addition to that, we received a generous building fund gift from a family who wishes to remain anonymous. These funds have been invested in an interest bearing account. If you would like to give, please place your offering in an envelope and mark it "building fund."

We need every able-bodied person to help.  If you are not sure what you can do, please contact Pastor Richard Bartlett and remember - everyone can PRAY!
