Men's Ministry
It
has been said that the reason Jesus Christ became a man was to show
us what a man could be if God were in that man. Wherever Jesus went,
things were never the same again. People were healed and delivered
and lives were changed. Likewise, he has called us to become
elements of change in this world - "Salt & Light" -
dispelling darkness, restoring relationships, reclaiming our
families, schools and government and proclaiming the message of hope
that Christ brought to the world more than 2000 years ago.
At the height of the American Revolution Edmund Burke said, "The
only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do
nothing." The men at Stockbridge Church of God of
Prophecy are preparing for spiritual warfare - mobilizing to take
our place at the frontline of the battle and assume
our role as Godly leaders in our homes and communities.
We invite you to join us and help make a difference today! Check our
calendar for
the next meeting. You'll be glad you did.

"Ye
are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot
be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a
candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good
works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Matt 5:13-16 (KJV)

....a
little light on the subject
We
cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our
own. ~Ben Sweetland
Light
gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek
anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It
gives of itself and is not thereby diminished. ~Michael Strassfeld
People
are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is
out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only
if there is light from within. ~Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
